Amazon is an international e-commerce company that is headquartered in Seattle, United States. Amazon started its business operations in India in 2012. Flipkart is an Indian e-commerce company founded by Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal in 2007. Flipkart and Amazon are two of the biggest online retail companies in India.
I believe Amazon is better than Flipkart to win the E-commerce battle because flipkart always tried to follow the Amazon footsteps . As we all know , Amazon initially started business in books and later on forayed into other products and flipkart follow the amazon . When Amazon started its business in India , Its gives Flipkart and Snapdeal a run for its money. It launched the Indian operations under Junglee.com, a website that allowed retailers in India to advertise their products for free to millions of Indian shoppers .
According to the reviews of people Amazon customer service is much better than flipkart and and people are more certain of replacements and after sales services when they buy from Amazon. Even my own experience with flipkart is not very good as delivery of my product was 5 days late and even one time I received fake product from the flipkart .
Even flipkart created it poor reputation in the eyes of law . As In 2012 , The government of India informed the parliament that it had asked the Enforcement Directorate to investigate Flipkart Online Services. In August 2014, the Enforcement Directorate claimed that it had found Flipkart to be in violation of the Foreign Exchange Management Act
October 2014 Flipkart launched a promotion called 'Big Billion Day' with the intention to increase the popularity of their website by targeting a billion sales in 1 day. This, even though Flipkart achieved the target, led to public outcry and widespread criticism among consumers, competitors and partners, heavily damaging its reputation. Many users could not place orders because of high server load and errors which led to frustration among customers while Amazon never goes through this in India .
So in my opinions Amazon is better than the Flipkart according to my experiences .
